Alcohol Injection Complete
#61
We used alot of elecrical wire and a few other things we had laying around. Minus the computer and wiring harness, the entire system could be built for $200.00 or so. You could bypass the computers, harness and injectors and run boost pressure switches with NOS style nozzles but you wouldn't have near the control over the system that I have.

Ok Gentlemen, I have a new alcohol to try out. I just got five gallons of VP M1 Racing Methanol designed for dragsters. I will try it out this weekend as I'm installing my cryo chambers also.

Chamber Pics
Here are the pics of the "dry ice chambers." I often refer to them as "Cryo Chambers."
1. Pics of the inside of the dry ice contrainer and 20ft of copper line coiled inside. The box is sheet metal held together by ribbets.

2. The outside container that will help insolate the chamber from ambient heat.

3. Ice chamber inside insulating chamber.

4. Foam insulation has been apppied, after it dries we will trim it away, sand the box and paint it.

The tape has been appied to ensure the foam doesn't seep outside the container. Once the foam has dried, the tape will be removed in preperation for paint.

Do you need to add a fluid (water?) to get good thermal
contact between the dry ice and the tubing?
I was also thinking, this would have been a great place to use Aura (it was an experimental super-insulation my employer used to make - but got canceled because no on bought it - too expensive), but I'm pretty sure its not avilable anywhere anymore.
