Default Track time

Well, its been a few months since I have posted. I have been extremely busy trying to get the Talon ready for this season. We made 2 passes before we got rained out. These passes were purely to get some form of open loop tune. I turned the boost down as low as I could. These 2 passes were NOT meant to get the best time out of the car. Consider the following:

A/F ratio was 10.78:1 all the way down the track
ABSOLUTELY NO ADDITIONAL TIMING
15psi (instead of 25psi...which nets me around 420whp on 91 oct)
street tires@ 32psi (not drag radials)
no 2-step launches
disabled the lift-to-shift feature
didn't heat the tires at all

Basically, we did everything we could to slow the car down as much as possible. Also consider that my local track is Bandimere Speedway (elevation 5800ft...most cars loose about about 1.1 sec from sea level)

14.389 @ 110 mph
2.8XX 60ft. (spun through 1st and 2nd)

If you are not completely laughing at the ET vs trap vs 60ft, (and all of the above considerations) you haven't been drag racing long enough.

We made a few open loop pulls on the highway after that on 25psi. The car makes a stupid amount of power @ 11.5:1 A/F ratio. I would imagine that I would trap close to 120 on street tires. Next time at the track will be mid June with the drag radials, 25psi, and some what of a tune. We are pleased with these results considering all the above.

The Dak pulled the Talon, trailer, and all the tools just fine.

Nope, front wheel drive.

Badass, the street tires are 215/45/17s. I have a set of 275/40/17 Nitto 555 DRs that will go on for the next race.
