Default Gauge Selection

In anticipation of the supercharger, I'm going to go ahead and start getting things ready. Here are the two gauges I have picked out for AFR ratio and boost.

http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/black...tio-gauge.aspx -- AFR

http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/black...uum-gauge.aspx -- Boost

I looked in the DF search engine for the write up somone did on making our own gauge pods. I'm going to find that and bump it. Could someone please put that in our 3rd gen dak FAQ section. Thanks!

That A/F gauge will not work. You need a wideband A/F gauge. The one you posted is a 1volt narrowband A/F that is good for a light show, that is about it.

This is the AEM A/F I'm using and its the cheapist I could find at the quality I needed. This one is 218 clams

The basic job of a narrow band is to let the computer know whether the vehicle was running at an ideal air/fuel ratio during idle.
Wide Band O2 Sensors where developed to monitor air/fuel ratio information under all circumstances like WOT. To do this, they broadened the voltage range in which feedback from the sensor was provided and making a linear scale that provided a fixed voltage that correlated to a specific air/fuel ratio.

Sweet, good info, on both accounts. I'm the master of cheapness, Mr. Frugal if you will. I'm gonna find it cheaper than that.

I'm stuck between the pillar mount and the dash mount. I would preferhttp://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Universal-Triple-Gauge-Console-Dash-Pod-Dome-Lip.aspx if it were angled towards the driver on the inside only. I wonder if I could accomplish that with a dremel.
