Default 4.7L Plugs For Boost

I know there are alot of you guys in the hunt for boost The first tuning problem I had was the wrong sparkplug, way too hot. Engine would not accelerate at vibrated.

1st Plug I used to trouble shoot was a stock and worked ok.
2nd Plug and current were the Autolite 3922's worked great.
3rd Plug I got in the mail yesterday and will try out this weekend. They are NGK BKR7E, stock# 4644. They are one heat range colder than stock. The turbo 4.7L guys swear by the NGK so I will let you guys know how they work for me.

I got this from NGK.

"For a boosted 4.7L application I would recommend dropping one heat range colder than the factory plugs which are a "6" heat range. The plug number for your engine is going to be BKR7E stock# 4644."

Dammit blown, you keep making my supercharger plans more expensive! haha, good to know though! keep it coming. You gonna use the stock gap on those? Or you have something else in mind?

They will melt, I've seen it happen in a 20psi turbo Neon. Not pretty, lol.

Baracis, yes, they come pre-gapped but as always check them.

the autolites are great with the nitrous application, i have the 3922 plugs now, but the ngk are the correct plug for the superchargers, or just the stock application if you wanna swap plugs
