Question Need help!!

I was washing my truck yesterday to go to the DFW Meet and when i was going to wash the engine bay i noticed that my power steering reservoir cap was missing!!

Do you guys know where i can find one without going to the dealer???

Need suggestions please!

Or if anyone of you want to send me the one from your truck that will also work for me!!

take a measurement of it, go to the local hardware store and see if they have some type of cap, put the cap over it and fasten it down with a hose clamp, this should get you throught the weekend,

$17.50 at the dealer.
You might try looking at an auto parts store. They usually carry stuff like that.

I've tried already and the only carry for older cars and non of them are the same size. I contacted the dealer that did the oil change and i will wait for a response!

I would go to the salvage yard and start looking for goodies.

Or cough up $18 if the dealer has one handy. One way or another get it covered with a temporary fix, before your tires kick a pebble into the engine bay, and the PS pump gobbles it up.

I got this response today from the service manager:

"Hector, I apologize if we left the cap off of your power steering. This is very unusual. But I want to make it right with you if we can. I have placed an order for one and it will be here Wednesday. I can ship it to your home address in Allen or you can pick it up here at no charge of course. Let me know what you would like me to do. Thanks and again I’m sorry for the inconvenience."

I'm glad that they stepped up to the plate and make it right for me!!!
