Default Cheap Mods

So I just got a 2005 Dodge Dakota 4.7 Quad Cab, it's totally stock except that it has a K&N air filter. Are there any good mods, performance and visual, that are cheap? A CAI, tuner, and exhaust are all out of my price range for now.

Well those are about the cheapest mods that you will see a noticeable difference from. Don't rule them out completely, always check E-Bay for great deals. I got my CAI for $44 shipped, I did my flowmaster exhaust for under $100, and a superchips 3815 just sold on E-Bay for $202. The only other thing I could think of would be an E-Fan. There are cheaper controllers than the ones listed in the DIY 3RD Gen section. Flex-a-lite offers a few for about $30. You could potentially do an E-Fan for under $75. It's all about how motivated you are, and if you can find the deals!

ok so I was browsing eBay and came across these xenon headlight bulbs..

Don't know if they'll work, but was only $12. Will they work? Their blue xenon 8500K HID's.

Intake, Exhuast, spark and program tunners are the best place to start. Buy a high flow muffler and have it welded in place of the abortion stock mufflers. If you can't afford a FIPK or CAI just get a high flow filter. Spark plugs are another good one. But nothing beats a good tuner, like SCT or Superchips. I have tuned with the Superchips 3950 but not the 3815, and I can tell you it will wake your engine up.
