Did you try to wire it up to the compressor wire?

I tried with a splice connector but it didn't pick up a signal. It's probably the connector...I just didn't want to hack up the wire to find out...

Can I ask which flex-a-lite kit you got, and from where baracis? I'm seriously thinking about doing this soon, and besides the DIY write up with the taurus fan, this was very helpful. Any info or things you would do differently would be appreciated. Thanks!!

I got the 118 from flexalite with the 31147 Adjustable temp sensor. I'd recommend getting the Part# 31165-VSC. You'll have a LOT more control over when the fan runs, and at what % it runs at, etc. The only part that really made me nervous was putting the connectors that hold the fan in place through the radiator. I used a really long skinny nail to start it, then put the mounting hardware through. Overall it really wasn't bad at all. I'd also recommend getting some wire loom, it made my overall install look MUCH better.

I'm also thinking about doing this. Baracis, did you notice any hp/torq gains? Did it help with MPG's?

1, maybe 2 mpg. What I noticed was a little more torque, and a lot better at climbing through the RPM range. Overall, I'd say it was worth it.
