This isn't good. The HO cams are used to regrind to make smaller cams i.e. 224, 212, 206. If the HO cams stop production, it could be ugly for the 4.7L performance world. Every fast 4.7L I know has a performance regrind cam or atleast an HO cam.
I'm guessing they've got the specs for the HO and can just cut from a blank (or whatever it's called in the cam world). Anyway, please pass this info on to anyone you know who's got a 4.7 and plans on eventually getting a cam. They'll be out of luck like the rest of us, if we don't get Comp cams to change their minds.
Well I've got the HO's in my Jeep Overland, have no plans on going to anything else as it's my daily driver and can't afford to lose any more mpg's after I just lifted it and put bigger, wider tires on it. The 4.7 HO is all I need and then some.
But I got on the bandwagon and contacted Comp Cams on y'alls behalf. Figured one more voice couldn't hurt...
