so is there no difference between the 206's and h/o's and what if you had a tune plus the h/o's would tht be the same thing too?

They perform the same if you don't have a tune (SCT usually). With a tune the 206 will be significantly better than the HO's.

Most of the time for power, you hear claims somewhere in the 10-30 hp range.

Maybe someone who has done cams (Blown287 for example) can hone those figures in a little better.

well there IS a difference between ho cams and 206. but w/o a tune they will behave the same most likely all depending on supporting mods of course. ho cams with a tune (what i have) it gave me awesome power gains. but if the only thing i changed was going to a 206 and all mods the same i would see more hp.

So after a tune of the 206's i would see a noticable difference, does the idle change at all, because i like the choppy idle sound but i dont have a lot of money to invest in cams

with an sct tune you can get your idle lowered. mine is at 600. its not a lope but sounds modified. if you want a lopey idle like this: you need a bigger cam grind.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czBwulCIT34

I had both ho cams and 206 cams with my Superchips and couldn't tell the difference except at idle. Then I went to hemifever and got an SCT tune and that 206 cam came alive.

That is Travis's cam (soon to be my cam). You can get these intake/exhaust durations on a 212, 212X or 224. Here is the cam card specs, you can also find in my Cam Swap Thread in FAQ

Travis's cam card info (The one in the video above).

224 Cam Specs
Cam timing Opens Closes
.006 Intake 22.0 BTDC 58.0 ABDC 260*
@ Tappet Lift Exhaust 66.0 BBDC 14.0 ATDC 260*
Cam Timing Opens Closes Max Lift Duration
@ .050 Intake 4.5 BTDC 39.5 ABDC 107*atdc 224*
Tappett Exhaust 48.5 BBDC (4.5) BTDC 117*btdc 224*
Intake/Exhaust @ cam = 2804 @ Valve= 520 Rocker Arm Ratio = 1.85 (all lifts based on zero lash and theoretical rocker ratios)
