...but I have a few questions. Has anyone adjusted the speed limiter, rev limiter, transmission shift points etc. or any of the other advanced options using the 87 Octane tune? Has everyone just used the Quick Tune option?

I have noticed a great difference in the shift patterns and it drive differently for the best.

Congrats on getting your Superchips man. I loved mine until upgrading to the blower and going SCT. With mine, it would not let me adjust anything you mentioned until I hooked it to my home computer and did an update. I could do the 87 and 91 update but I couldn't adjust anything else. After the update I could adjust my speedlimiter, revlimiter etc.

Good luck with it man and enjoy your new toy.

Thanks. What did you find were ideal settings? I have been checking out the Superchips Sticky over on the 3Gen Ram site and they re saying... REV LIMTER: 6400, WOT 1-2: 6150, WOT 2-3: 5920. Does that sound right?

That is close to what I ran before the blower. Now my rev is set to 5900rpms. Believe it or not, every vehicle is different. Give it a try and see how you like it. If you feel 6400 is too much dial it back down. They are alot of fun, lol, until I sold my to Baracis I would use it all the time.

i just maxed everything out, the computer will not let the tuner use its full potential, all the knock sensors will start to over ride the tuner, 87 octane is very good, the shift points will work great with the mods you already have. the 91 tune will not benefit you for the little mods you have.

Hey Man,

I live in San Diego and would love to reprogram my truck but don't really wanna drop $350 on the programmer. Can I take you (and your wife kids or whatever) to lunch or something and we can reprogram my truck in the parking lot???

That would be pretty sweet...

Thanks!
Ryan

Programmers are locked to the vehicle when a tune is installed. The only way to tune another truck is to return the first tuned truck back to stock parameters. That's why when you buy a used programmer, you need to verify that the programmer is not locked (unlocked) to a specific VIN.

Silver, could do this but its going to cost you $100 bucks, he'll set his to stock, tune yours, then unlock it and re tune his, and your truck will forever be locked into the tune you tuned it too
