for the 2gen 195 is stock, i would assume its the same for 3g. take off the clutch fan to let it warm up quicker. or get a block heater.

did anyone ever do a write up with pics on "modifying" the thermostat? If you run a 180 thermostat do you HAVE to have cooler running plugs too?

no you can just swap out the thermostats! and i know there are videos on youtube that show you how to instal or modify one! just swap out the thermos dont need to change the plugs!

if it's a generic 180 t-stat, there is a modification that has to be done, it is not a direct replacement. Thats what I'm talking about.

oh you have to make a notch in it! but i swear there is a direct replacement that i found! have to research it and find it again!

yes it is, but I said the GENERIC tstat in my post. Not a $43 one...you can buy a generic for $3 and modify it...pay attention!

You can get the generic one from napa. Part number is 530080. If they need to know your engine model, just say you have a 5.2l or 5.9l as they wont have 530080 for a 4.7l and for some reason they cant just go get the part, they want to verify.
