not sure. i didnt suck any water into my motor. there was no sign of water inside teh actuall engine compartment. i did a pressure test, and i cant start on putting it back togther yet. one of the new valves are leaking, and i now have another one leaking for some reason. there are 2 reasons i am getting rid of the truck. 1) its the wifes DD, she now has a longer commute for work and needs something with better MPG 2) the truck is too small for what i do with it, i should of gotten a bigger truck in the first place.

Sorry to hear, thats odd it would just up and burn valves... stranger things have happened though. Good luck on getting it back together, seems like things are going downhill man...

If you were in over your tires, and now your truck runs like crap, and you have a diagnosis of "burnt valves"....which is probably more like bent valves and scared valve seats, you sucked in water....in my opinion, regardless of what you see in the engine bay. I apoligize if your wife is looking over your shoulder and I've blown your story about how you didn't 4-wheel her truck to death. Good luck.

I hope by 'ran it bone dry' you didn't literally let your truck run out of gas... I'm not trying to offend your mechanic abilities but jamming the fuel filter is the quickest way to put your vehicle down for the count.

You will never get rid of me...
Yeah I am kind of a translator, more of a radio operator/signal seeker... I find them and expose them to our bombers
