During this last month I've gotten alot of questions about just how much is under Impules's hood and difficult it was to fit. So here we go.

The heart of the project. Here is the Paxton Novi 1000 Supercharger. To the left is the washer bottle I decided not to use. Instead I trimmed by stocker and molded it using a torch. The wire braded line is my oil delivery line that is attached to the block oil sending unit. To the side is the oil return line that goes into my oilpan. Then there are the mounting brackets, two of them and assorted pullies.

The Air Intake piping with U joints. You can also see the 2-BAR MAP, the blue fuel injectors in the ziploc are Ford Cobra SVT #39 injectors. You can also see the SCT and bypass valve. You also see my split second computer I use to control my alcohol injection system along with wiring harness.

Note the broken A/C lines, lol. This let to a violent decompression. Also, in this pic I have yet to install the split second harness or alky system.

Wow! That's a lot of stuff. How much time did it take, all & all?

 

Initial install was about 18-26 hours or so depending on how you look at it, lol. The hard part was making everything fit since the kit is designed for a Ram. I had to relocate the air temp sensor, modify the water temp sensor so I could fit the 2-BAR MAP, had to dremel the inside of the engine bay to fit the blower and I had to have a hydrolic shop fabricate new A/C lines you see in the bottom picture.

 

thats a tonne of stuff and it looks awesome all said and done

Like I said most of us dream of what your truck already is. If could affort to turbo & tune and have another truck for evey day then I would. Tell your wife the 2010 Ram is a must to save gas. lol

 

Many already commented they would have voted for him if it wasnt for those headlights. So until somethings done there, I don't see it happening

I bet as far as time spent, the majority was researching the fueling, air and all that...finding the parts needed. bet the install was nothing compared to that.

 

Thank you and Jaded you are correct. I spend several hours on research brefore starting. I had alot of help and advice throughout my build. Richie, Bondslayer, Hemifever and Kevin (who sold me the kit) who gave me invaluable advice. The hardest part was relocating everything and making it fit.
