Default WOT shifting?

i recently had the exhaust done on th 08... now at wot, when it shifts it makes this really loud (most of all embarassing) pop/sputter. it sounds to me like the ecu is cutting out to make a smoother shift? is that correct? is there anyway to get rig of it. i cant stand to get on the throttle any more because every shift sounds like the engine just exploded.

Going to a 3 in exhaust shouldnt have made that big of a difference where a special tune of any sort is needed. Hell I have the same set up and mines not popping or missing.
