Question Is it possible to change factor dash trim?

I'm trying to buy a Dodge Dakota 2005 and I noticed that the one I'm looking at has a wood trim. I was wondering if it could be changed to a grey color (see pictures).

yup. super easy. all trims share the same mounting points and sizes so just search eBay or your local scrap yard for the one you want. if you've got the money and want one spanking new than the dealer is always a choice...

it just pops out with a flat head screwdriver (careful though)

You have to unscrew the two screws that are on the very bottom facing towards the floor, then it pops out, its super easy!

I dunno, I think the wood grain is odd... I love my dash, which is like the second picture!

Eric you know I never really paid much attention to you dash console when I was out there, I looked at everything else but the center dash, like the RIMS, and or the head rest, etc. Take another picture of the beast from a farther away perspective Lets see the sexiness.

Where did you get that radio trim?? It has a pocket.

Do you have a source do buy a factory gray dash trim besides the dealer?

I have the Sim carbon fiber too. You're right. These trucks are too modern for
wood trim.
