Trashed 2008 Dakota sport

I'm posting this link for pix because I can't drive well or resize pix well either.
I hit Black Ice a few weeks back. Crested the hill, spun to the left, steered her back on course but slid across the road into the only big oak tree within 200 yards. I think around 35-40 MPH, didn't have much chance to take notes.
Anyway the insurance company decided it was a total loss. I made about $3200 on the payoff due to the rebate last December and low milage (6400 miles), put it down on a 2009 Ram, with a huge rebate. Still sick over the Dakota but the Ram sure is nice too.
My chest is still sore from the seatbelt, my right knee got banged up a bit from the dash. It's OK now.
Seatbelts work, airbags work and Five Star frontal crash test....... passed.
One odd thing was the rear slider completely blew out. Frame and all. It landed in the grass, not a scratch on it. The firemen and bodyshop guy said they never seem anything like it on a front end crash. I was thinking the impact force carried thru the crash cage and may have had a factor. My buddy suggested the pressure from the airbags going off. It was cold as hell, so I had the windows up.
I'll be looking for a NEW HANDLE as 2daks isn't true anymore. Maybe Ramdak or something like that.

Here's the NEW 2009 Ram SLT that just replace the 2008 Dakota. Kind of like a new girlfriend, make the pain of the last one go away.

Anyways, sorry to hear about the loss man! That sucks!
