Default Question to ask....

Hello world...I am new to Dodge Forum. Was wondering, if anyone had pics of their Dak with 20's on it, cuz I am thinking of comming from the all terrian look on stock wheels to some 20's with an all terrian. I still have the 265/70/17 BFG All Terrian tires (30.5'') on my truck they are about 2 and half years old, yeah they LAST. Any pics posted on the thread would be appreciated.

This is my Idea: 20" 2 Crave No.4 SUV on a set of 285/50r20 Toyo Open Country A/T

WHEEL:

TIRE:

Thanks,
T

Welcome to the site. There are members running 20" wheels around the forum, & I will be one of them after winter. But I remember one had 285/50/20 tires and they would rub, how bad I'm not really sure. He switched them out for 265/50/20's, which a few guys have that size. Looking through the tire threads myself, my opinion is not to go wider than the 265's.
Post up a pic when you've got em on.

Yeah, that's the thing, I am trying to find a number tire to match the size tire i have now (30.5) tire, thats damn near the biggest i can go. When i first got the tires it rubbed a little in the front when you would turn and it would rub the inner part of the guard for a sec but wasn't bad at all. So 265/50r20 is equal to a (30.5) tire? Basically I am trying to find an all terrian that is the same size as i have now but for 20's. I tried searching 265/50r20 in the Toyo Open Country A/T; but no luck.

I'm was also searching for an aggressive tire, plenty of looking on my part. What I found in a 265/50/20 size is Nitto Terra Grappler. Right now that is what I plan on getting, specs on it are 30.51 diameter, 10.75 wide. Tire looks great & gets great reviews.

Yea, Those look good too. I heard good things and bad things about them. But every person has different taste, ya know. I got a few friends with the Toyo Open Country A/T on 22's and 20's. They love em. The guy with the 22's Dad owns a tire shop and he recommended the Toyo's to me. I did some searching. The Cooper Zeon Ltz doesn't look like a bad tire either. Don't know the reviews on it but it's a good looking tire.

Yeah, looked into Cooper Zeon LTZ, I like them also, but they are too big. The smallest sizes were 275/55/20 (31.9x11.2) or 285/50/20 (31.3x11.6) . I don't want to get them & have them rub. I'm worried about the tire width. If you want to be the guinea pig, it's ok with me.

265 is the widest I think you should go by every thing I have read also, unless your going with that nice short sidewall height like Eric is doing, but you should be able to go all the way to a over all tire diameter of 31.65 on your tire rim combo with out rubbing.. Q-tip is running this only with a smaller wheel and larger tire with a stock wheel with a +25 offset.. As your offset changes on your wheel you have to watch rubbing issues, Now crash another member here has a overall tire diameter of 275/65/18 with a stock wheel offset of +38 which puts him at 32.07 and he had major rubbing issues and had to do trimming to get them to run so I figure if you can stay under 32 you may be fine..

Do not forget that both of the trucks I listed above have had 2" leveling kit on the front and 2" blocks on the back.. I am going to go with a wheel with "0" offset with a over all tire diameter of 31.61 which hopefully with that off set will make it with out rubbing issues I hope.. I am not going to get them till spring since I don't want to run them in the snow with all this salt, good luck.. Cya Slick
