Update, superdak gave me the name/website of a guy who made HIS 4.10's work in front and rear. I called him and he is going to figure this all out by today. I will come back with an answer tomorrow, but for those of us with 4x4 looking to improve gearing... keep your ears perked. google CT axle, the guy's name is Peter.
Also, I encourage ALL to read this https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...6-gears-4.html
Travis, good luck with the gears. I had no idea that finding them for the 4x4 was that tough. I bought mine from Bill at KRC, but that is for a 2wd. You will love the 4.10 man.
The verdict is in. The only thing to do for 4x4 is find the differential housing off an 02, 03 dakota front axle from a junkyard and then get the normal gears for front and back. Should be an extra $150 on top of normal gear purchase/installation. Good luck to all who want to go this route. It is the only way.
