If you got a spare $400 for a couple days, go order it at autozone and pick it up on tuesday, and when the one you ordered online comes in just return one of them to autozone.

I am thoroughly amazed. My order was processed and shipped today, and with the free shipping, it says it will be here tomorrow, coming from Kentucky. I'm glad I decided to fill up with 93 today

That was the worst part for me. I had to waste through a half a tank of gas just to get a tank of higher octane. Lets just say I looked like an a**hole flooring it from every light.

I'm just wondering if it will be ok now that I've pondered it further. I had just under 1/4 tank of 89. I put in 1/4 tank of 93. I'll burn at least a 1/4 tank tomorrow going to work and back. More if I try really hard. If I go and put in a 1/2 tank of 93, will it be close enough to be safe with the 93 tune?

So, all you guys have the Superchip Cortex? And Superchip is the only chip we can get for our trucks right? I been thinking about getting one lately; I really wanna get one for my truck for a little more power, and the fact that I just put bigger wheels/tires on last week.

Thanks in advance,
T

I believe Hypertech makes one, but it sounds like Superchips is the way to go. You could always go for the FlashPaq instead of the Cortex for about $40 less. I figured the powertrain warranty will be potentially worth it.

I think all they make is a Speedometer Calibrator, cuz I was looking at getting a Hypertech Max Energy. Got a few friends with those on their sierras, but unfortunately we s h i t out of luck. I don't mind spending the money for something with good quality and results. Just looking for some recommendations.

I guess they only make them for the 08+ trucks, but it's no real loss. Get a Superchips.

Youre lucky you have an 08 and will be able to use the 93 tune with your truck. I would run your current tank of gas down as far as you can, and fill up with as much 93 before you tune your truck to the 93 tune. If it was the 91 tune, I wouldnt worry too much as you are probably close to 91 octane right now in your tank.
Just a word of warning; I have read that tuning your vehical to the 93 tune will void the cortex warranty so just look in to that a bit before you do it. Im pretty sure that if it voids the warranty, it will prompt you on the screen first with an "are you sure" screen.
