Ordered my tuner!
I just ordered a Superchips Cortex tuner. It was only $326 shipped brand new. I'm not sure when it will arrive, but for that price I can wait a few extra days! If anyone else is interested, I can share a link. I'll be sure to post my thoughts once I get it installed.
right on!!! you will love it, i do anyway, just be prepared, you may have to wait a day or two for them to put a tune together for ya, it happened to me, and a few others for the 08+ trucks, but make sure you try to update it first, before pluging in, you may also get a jump start on the process and download the easy updater program from the SC site before it arives
Congrats Mr Crash! You got an awesome deal! I paid a little over $400 from autozone for mine, but I wanted to be able to return it to a store if I didnt like it. Hopefully your installation is flawless.
Nice! I de-tuned my truck on Monday just to diagnose my wife's Durango and see if I ould help some of the odd shifting on her SUV. My Dak now feels like it doesn't shift correctly, has to downshift going up hills, doesn't hit 5th until later MPH, and just does not get up and go like it used to! What I am trying to say is the tuner is worth the money, and if you don't feel a huge difference after tuning go back to stock and you really will. For some reason upgrades are less noticeable than downgrades.
Hopefully you get an even bigger jump with your new 4.7

Also, you may not feel anything right away. I tuned mine to the 91 setting and thought "damn, I really don't feel much other than maybe a little better shifting". I was kinda bummed. But then after somewhere between 160 - 200 miles I got in one day and said to myself; "Wow, now I feel it!". It just took some time for the ECU to learn. And now, there's no way I'd live without it.
And I agree with dodgetrucker about this latest update they did. The gas pedal seems to have lost some of it's mushiness. It's almost like they tweaked it to be a little more sensitive (which I like in these drive-by-wire vehicles). It seems to be a hair more responsive off the line.
Oh, and I've said it before and I'll say it again, just wait until they finally release the new transmission shifting schedules/mod. It's gonna be a whole new truck!!!
