Default Rear seats?

I have a Dakota ST Crew Cab without any seats in the back. Is it possible to install seats? The salesman said I can't because they use a different frame but my mechanic says that's probably not true.

Default cont...

Actually I think it's called a club cab but regardless of the name, it is an extended cab without any seats in the back.

you could get something out of a wrecked truck and put them back there. But you wont get fullsize seats, just the "jump" seats that comes in that truck.

If you have the club cab they're just two folding jump seats. Mine are sitting on a shelf at home along with the rear seatbelts, I wouldn't be opposed to selling them but if you wanted the trim panels you would have to get them somewhere as I'm keeping those in the truck.

Default Yeah that's all I'm looking for.

Yeah that's all I'm looking for. Once in a rare while I have more than one passenger and it would be nice if I could carry them legally.

I've called many junkyards in my area and none of them have any wrecked dakotas that are this new.

Default Cool

How much would you want for the seats and belts?

How many trim panels would i need to change, and which ones? It looks like I already have the side ones with the slots for the seat belts. So would I just need the one back piece? Would you be able to send a pic to give me an idea of what I need?

Thanks

The trim panel hes talking about is like the ones in this picture...

See the ones about the actual seat pads, on the back of the cab.

Honestly I hadn't thought much about a price, PM me an offer and we can talk about it. I will ask my dad to take some pictures of them, I'm storing them in my parents shop right now as I'm a few states away. If you already have the side panels I think all you need is the back panel like you can see in the pic Bolt posted since the seatbacks are part of the actual panel.

I would not worry about the headrests, after my rollover when they repaired the truck they could not get a trim panel with the holes for the headrest posts from the local dealer. The dealership told them that the back headrests were no longer being installed due to safety concerns. Considering how much they cranked forwards when I rolled it I would agree. I actually wanted to bodyshop to leave the rear seats out but insurance wanted it back as it was so I let them put it all back in then took the seats out after they were done.

Also make sure that you have two good sized bolts on the floor in back (towards the middle) for the seatbelt "clip" (whatever you call the part the belts latch into. If you don't have those you may have to come up with another way to attach the belts but I would guess they put them on all the trucks.
