I have had a similar problem. I have found that not putting in the handle all the way (leave it hanging a little bit more) can solve the issue. I think it's just the angle of some of the handles and the filler neck takes a little longer to get the gas into the tank and therefore shuts off the handle due to a backup.
Bump****** so i downloaded the manuel a few months back and seemed to of lost it on my comp but quic question is there a breather valve in the tank somewhere that may be plugged
i think there may be some kind of a valve on the fill vent, everytime mine is full and clicks the handel, the fuel is right at the top of the neck with out toping off, so it must shut off venting at some point to keep from overfilling the tank, maby that got stuck on you?
hmmm maybe thats why i was trying to find the manuel see if there is something in there about but yeah i noticed befor it wouldshut off at the top of the neck to.... this being said the first bit will take about 6 bucks then it only takes a buck or two i can watch it drain down the neck......
