Default DIY - Change lights behind the AC *****

So i put in blue LEDS all over my car interior..and the green behind the ac controls was not matching..decided to take it apart and look at changing the lights.

You will need
Flathead, Phillips, Electrical tape or Soldering iron
from RADIOSHAK, 3 BRIGHT LED BULBS FULL SIZE ($9something for all 3), and 1 pack of 5 resistors 470ohm($1.07)

It does not matter on which end of the resistor you connect, try to connect them all the same way, match the colors etc lol

This is the start

Sorry, the first 4 steps were not photo'd
1. Take apart your front center console..theirs 4 clips, you can basically stick a flathead screwdriver in the gaps and push it out.
2. Unplug the Cables from the AC Controls
3. Unscrew the AC Controls from the Center piece
4. Take the ***** off the Ac Controls

5. open the ac controls to get to the inside..

6. remove the twist lock lights, and place the new led's in its place, and find a way to keep it in their from falling out, i glued/ducttape

7. Close up everything with the lights sticking out

8. Connect the 470ohm resistor to the longer end of the led (either electrical tape, or solder) (this was before i put it in the light, just for this tut)

9. Use a small piece of wire and attach it to the smaller side of the led, this is gonna be our ground

10. Connect all of the POS(resistor ends) together, and then connect all the NEG(electrical wire ends) together

and then were done

The blue on the bottom half of the AC Controls is more bright, i need to find a way to make it spread out more.

if you have any questions post em here

Just another tip:

When power the LED's you don't have to have a resistor on each one so they would just need one bigger one after they all have been tied together. The way you did itwas the way i did all my LED stuff because they camewith a free thing of resistors and didn't wantto waste them.
