Blown,

What is the benefit of the controller over say Spal's 185 Temp Sensor Harness (185FH)?

Or the Hayden 3651?

I had a dual relay setup before, with a Hayden temp sensor, but went back to stock clutch fan. I had no issues, except the wires were too thing for the Taurus Fan setup.

I like being able to set the fans high and low speeds to the high and low temps. I can control when the fan comes on with the A/C or if I want to delay it to a certain temp. You can even tune your SPAL fan with your Super Chips.

Yes, and I will probably have to give you my cell # incase you need to call. I installed the first SPAL version(PNW) in my truck and just installed a version 3 in Travis's truck yesterday.

The wiring harness is slightly different and the display is different. I'm sure there are some internal upgrades I'm just not sure what they are. Mine has the same functions as his. High, Low, A/C delay etc.

I found a V3 for $110 but that was the cheapest I could find.

Fan is hard mounted.

I used
Two M8(8mm) 1.25 X 45mm bolts.
Two 8mm Extruded U nuts.
Two small bolts with nuts/washers.

First we matched up the bolts threads form the OEM mount, marked the HHR fan and drilled holes for the extruded nuts. Then we drilled holls in the extruded nuts and mounted them to the HHR fan.

Then put the fan in place and bolted it up using the 8mm bolts going through the OEM mounts into the extruded nuts.

Here is the fan mounted.
