I think you just move the fuse "over" a bit. I did it when I got mine in 05 so I don't remember exactly. Like "half a position".

Search for it in the Ram section over at DT as they have it over there on how to do it.

its real simple its 3 holes if u take out the fuse... u just flip it and plug the otherside in and boom u have constant power.

All you have to do is reposition a fuse. You have a fuse in the fuse box with three holes. Just move it over and the outlet is hot when truck is on or off.

its like that for a reason, most people connect their gps or radar dectector there, would you want constant power to those items when not in the truck, i dont, plus the center console is nice, just plug in the cell phone, put it in the console and its out of the way, no dropping on the floor while driving

Well that sure beats running wire. Just switched it on my truck. Slick featur. Nice to have the option. Now I have to look and see if I can do the same on my 96 Caravan.

When I mounted my Ipod I ran the charger cord and the aux input cord behind the radio bezel and had it come out the bottom to the port that goes out when the truck is off, so when I started using the one in the center console I went to walmart and got an extension cord for that port, that way I could run the extension out the side of the console, down between the seat and it just sits underneath where I can grab it. Works well, so when I plug in my cell (while its in its mount on the dash) the cord hangs loosly straight down, instead of being stretched to the center console and in my way.
