Progress has slowed because Cometic sent Billy the wrong head gaskets and his supercharger bracket is being worked on. I think he is using the weekend to paint his valve covers but from there we just need the correct gaskets to start putting pieces back together.
Jerry, what all have you done to your truck? At the very least you have the HO motor and that helps some.

 

There's always something that holds up progress. Same thing happened to me on my last build. got the wrong head gaskets twice. I haven't done anything to this truck yet. I will do some tuning on it as soon as HPtuners relases the dodge support. I wouldn't mind putting Superchips tune on it till then. If i could get hold of a use unit for cheap. I'm not paying for a new unit when i know its only going to cost $100 to add it to my existing HP licence. I like doing my own tuning. If SC can get 30hp i'm sure i could get more. They're only going to put out a conservative tune. To much libility. You have to tune these vehicles based on the quality of fuel is availible. Luckly we have good fuel here. I made a trip up to tennesee in my last truck and had to retune it because of knock from the lesser grade of fuel. It's just different around the country. Wish him luck.

 

Thanks Jerry but Travis pretty much summed it up, lol. When I placed the order I entered 05, Dakota, V8 and they mailed Hemi headgaskets, lol. Hopefully I will have the correct gaskets by the first of next week.

 

OMG it's a street smart member who seems to know what he's doing when it comes to vehicles and HE DOESN'T HAVE AN INTAKE?! What do we do from here?? Tar and Feather?!

LMAO, well the replacement Mopar head bolt kit arrived today. Tomorrow I'm going to paint the valve covers. It will be exact body color and I'm going to shoot it through a HVLP paint sprayer.
