Wouldn't painting them red make it faster? lol It sure will look nice when its all done.

Headbolts plus shipping was 44$ per head, so they wern't too bad. Sometime down the road I will switch to ARP head studs as they are better. Next year I plan on boring the block and going totally forged. When that happens I will have the heads ported to their maximum potential, buy the biggest valves available and then I will swith to ARP headstuds. The only reason I didn't this year was due to the introduction of the 224 grind for our 4.7Ls.

Well, here is where my progess ends until I get the head gaskets. The camshaft is on without the rockers/lash caps making my install of the springs easier.

Everything going into this evolution

1. Comp Beehive High Load Springs
2. Cometic Head Gaskets
3. Hylomar Spray
4. Mopar Head Bolt Kit
5. New Header Gaskets
6. New intake Manifold Gaskets
7. Aftermarket Water Pump

Last Friday I gave up and cancelled the order and placed a new order with Nick at Airam. I hope I have them tomorrow. If so, the truck will be running again this weekend. New High Load beehive valve springs are in so my next tune will be at higher RPM limits.

I almost forgot. Valve covers painted body color using a HVLP sprayer.
