It's loudest at ~2,000rpm, when you're just cruising around it's not very noticeable. Can't say for Magna's on our trucks but my friend had a Magnaflow setup on his S10 with the 4.3l and that thing was LOUD.

I believe the '05 and newer (All Gen 3 Daks) are the same. IYou could call MBRP or Magnaflow 800 numbers and talk direct if you don't see '09 on website

Re:noise, i've been told FlowMaster is loudest / most drone inside cab, Magnaflow a little less, and MBRP the more mellow rumble / least drone inside. I'll know soon, my MBRP should arrive today.

This is why I chose to go the route I did. I had Magnas and I hate Flows

Cherybomb's can be grouped with MBRP on drone. I have hardly any.

I drove a 4.7l Ram with dual magnaflows mufflers, both exiting straight back and the thing was deafening while cruising at 45mph in the cab. After getting an exhaust on my Dakota, Im so happy I didnt get that Ram and have to live with not being able to hear myself think while driving.

MBRP is very mellow. At some points, I actually wish it was louder so I could "show off" my exhaust more. At idle, its barley audible but atleast it doesnt wake up the whole neighborhood when I start the truck up. When I get on it though, it does get quite loud. After the CAI though, I can hear the engine roar more than the exhaust. If you enjoy a comfortable ride while still having the sporty exhaust, MBRP should suit you well.

I'm awaiting reply from Magnaflow to see if they can explain the difference between 2008 model and 2009. They list different part number starting 2009.

MBRP also only lists the dual side exit up to model year 2007, no dual for '08, '09 or '10. Single pipe only for those years.

Did something change? Does anyone else have a 2009 with either MBRP or Magnaflow dual exhaust?

I went to a Magnaflow from a Flowmaster Super44, I can say the Magnaflow still has some drone @ 1700-1800 RPM, but no where near as bad as the flowmaster. I am very pleased with the Magnaflow, wish I would have gone with them from the get-go. You can tell you have a performance exhaust but it is not obnoxious like the Flowmaster.

If you would like, I can get under my truck and take pictures and measurements for all the hangers. The rear ends on these trucks never really changed; only the front facia. But you could compare your truck to my 05 and see for yourself. The spare tire may come in to play with the new models. The single pipe will still sound awesome otherwise!

05, 06, and 07 should be the same, I have heard that 08, 09, and 10 have a larger diameter pipe, but I think that is it.

When did they start building dual plug heads 4.7? That would make sense if along with the dual plug heads, they fitted a larger exhaust to bump the H.P. up.

Dual plugs came in 2008. I thought one was at the bottom of the cylinder, and one on the top. Mr Crash changed his ones on top but wasnt looking forward to doing the ones on the bottom. Im not sure if he meant the bottom of the head or bottom of the cylinder, all I know is there are 2 plugs per cylinder on the 08 4.7ls.

If MBRP makes a single system, a dual should be coming out soon. Maybe give them a call.
