Picking up my 06 Dakota Tuesday!!!!
Hey everybody! My name is Nick and I am picking up my new-to-me 06 Dak on tuesday!!! Club Cab, 4x4, SLT 
. I have one question though, the middle console is broken and wont open. I have tried to open it, I watched the service tech at the dealership try to open it and still no luck.... any body have any suggestions??

they stick... I had to use a flat blade screwdriver and an extra set of hands...
Wedge the flat in-between the handle and squeeze the crap out of it (the handle)... have the extra set of hands turn the driver if you get the handle to move at all... once you get it open, get some white lithium grease on the spring mechanism. I havent had an issue since I greased mine.

Yeah, what Eric said did the trick for me too. Don't get too frustrated, you will eventually get it open. After I greased mine, it opens right up as if it were new. Welcome to DF, and we do like pictures here!
Thanks for the suggestions guys! I think the handle on my center console is broken, so I figure if I brake the handle/latch then I can replace the handle... I don't know... what do you guys think? How does the handle work (where does it latch at, on the bottom?)

M-80 placed at latch level. lol
I used a credit card when mine stuck. Slid it under the lid and the plastic lever moved and it opened. I had to get a replacement button lever part about $29 bucks if I remember.
