Things I like about my Dakota; Things I dislike about my Dakota

Hmm.. Let's see. I've had 06 for a month now. So far I'm enjoying most everything with it.
Like:
Comfortable ride.
Bit more get up and go than expected from a V6 pulling 6k lbs of truck.
Looks a heck of a lot better than the 95 Caravan I traded in.
Close to bare bones basic. A/C, Cruise control, crank up windows.
(I did add some power door locks. $40 well spent)
Dislike?
Mostly transmission related. IMHO spends too much time thinking if it should drop out of overdrive when starting uphill. Takes more throttle than expected when backing up a slope. (Seems to be something common with newer transmissions. Dad says his F-150 does the same)
Mileage could be a bit better. Best I've hit so far is 16mpg mostly running about town. Not bad, but could be better.
Not much planned for upgrades. Already installed the door lock kit.
Still need to get it a nice tranny cooler and E-fan to help with mileage.
Suspension? Yes better than OEM parts will be installed, but not till what's on the truck needs replacing.

This was a neat old thread.
An OLD thread, that Jay decided to revive.
Kinda cool thread though. I had forgoten about it.
My 2008 Dakota Ext. Cab 2wd V6/Auto SLT trm:
Likes:
Best looking truck (compact and full size included) on the road.
White.
Indiglow gauges.
If I go foo somewhere s few hoursa away, it gets 20 MPG on the highway.
DO NOT Like:
* Seats are like sitting on a WOODEN BENCH! (And I have the power seat SLT trim!)
* You can feel EVERY TEENY TINY bump & pebble on the road. I think if I ran over a BB I'd know it! ( Of course, the 6 ply General Grabber AT's aint helping that alot eather.)
* 13 MPG in the CITY! ICK! And I DONT drive hard, it just is what it is.
* Has plenty of power by ITSELF, but if you hook up a trailer or try to haul ANYTHING it is totaly GUTLESS!!!! ( But we have a Ram3500 Cummins for towing "stuff"! lol)
* The ventalation system SUCKS! Not enough airflow!
