Default Auburn LSD Next Project

Well, tonight I ordered an AUBURN LSD PART #542070 for Chrysler 9.25 rear end. So that will be my next undertaking. Drivetrain mods so far, Edge 3000 stall, 4.10 gears and solid tranny mounts.

Holy **** thats cheap! I like! Cheapest I have ever run into was $500 plus. You installing this yourself?

I wonder how upgrading to and LSD would mess with my lifetime powertrain warranty. I am sure I would have to have my dealership do everything from the ground up... including parts.

Can you use them on a factory set up or you have to install some other mods to benefit from it ?

It replaces the factory open or lsd differential. You still use the factory axles, gears, etc. It just turns your truck into a rip roaring 2 rear wheel spinning machine.

Is that the "performance" series or the "pro" series? I've heard from a lot of south Georgia track boys that the higher bias of the "pro" series locks up HARD and gives serious launch but isn't real streetable...

This is the high performance series.

Bolt, there is a local shop that does drivetrain work super cheap. If they offer me a cheap $ to install it, I will have them do it. If not, it will be me.

Same one I got, you'll like it, works when it needs to and you don't even know it's in there when it don't...
