Default New tires for my 2010?

Hi:
I own a 2010 Bighorn Crewcab, it comes with 265/65/17.
May I install 265/70/17? Front tires will rub at the rear part of the fender, to be exactly in the splash guards? Or not?

Thanks

Victor

Hi:

Thanks for the advice, but I'm running 17'' rims not 16'' like the thread is about.

I have that exact size tire on mine LT265-70-17 on stock wheels. You will need to trim about 1.5 inches of plastic off of the inside of the splash guard. I recommend using a hot-knife. That is the only place it rubs, and is an easy fix.

Hi:

Ok, great 265/70r17,my splash guards are painted of the color of my truck, white, if I trim it I think is going to see horrible!.
Do you have pics of you job, just to have an idea and see how looks your truck with those tires.

Thanks

Victor, don't worry! get the duplicolor paint to match yours and when you are done trimming paint it. No one will notice it

You won't even need to paint it. If you are patient, and have a really hot knife, you can cut a factory clean edge. I recommend using a sharpie marker to scribe the cut first. You can still drive it home from the tire shop. You will see (and hear) exactly where it is rubbing. You are cutting away a small amount of plastic that is inside the fender wells. You'll never notice a difference. I'll try to take a photo in the AM.
