Here we go again???
Has anybody used the E3 Spark Plugs in their 4.7 V8???
Everytime I gear up to use the Autolite 3923 (I believe that's the number) I read some negative stuff about those.
While I'm writing this I seem to remember someone saying the E3's are REALLY expensive.
Any thoughts on this.
I have 38000 miles on the 2005 QC and it seems to be running fine (other than rough idle). Probably should just leave well enough alone.
I am going to get the cooling system flushed and new stuff put in for these COLD ND winters.
Also going to replace the "still original" battery, which is another story.
So what's up with the E3's???

I guess I should have not used the word "negative" with the comment on the Autolite 3923's.
Just one or two about "no change in idle or performance noted". I guess that's what's said about most things you search out.
With a $90 labor charge (quoted last year) I want to do this right the first time.
Thanks for your reply's to the E3's.

I have nothing bad to say about the Autolites, they've done well for me. I would recommend doing the plugs yourself and saving the money, long as you have a couple of socket extensions it's not a bad job, just a little time consuming.
I run the 3923's and have no trouble. No big performance gains, but didn't expect that. I will purchase them again next go-round.
Seriously though, change your own plugs. Get a jointed socket for the rear two plugs, as you can't wrench from right above it, will cost less than 10 bucks. Job takes less than an hour taking your time. Put the $ you save into your other projects.
