I used an ignition fuse in the front of the fuse box.

My fan is wired directly to the battery with a 30amp fuse. The SPAL that controls the fan is the switched power source you see in the ignition fuse spot. Let me know what controller you have and I can tell you where every wire needs to go.

Default Heres the info, Blown

A/C power, Eric
If you can help,
Thermostat control - Torqflo PN 733647 autozone
Thermostat Wires:
Blue second fan lead - nothing
Orange fan lead - Blue wire on HHR fan
Black ground - hooked to ground in frame rail where battery ground hooks
Green - I removed some insul from blue/green wire on the a/c harness and wrapped wires copper to copper
Yellow - crimped to the red fuse jumper wire
Temp probe - pushed thru front of radiator fins near hose
Fuse jumper - inserted in #37 10amp crank
Black HHR fan wire - same ground listed above
Also checked - A/C is kicking on the clutch, and no fuses are blown

I hope this is enough info. I know the fan works, I hooked it up direct to battery to make sure. I wonder if I have a bad fan controller??
All I know is, I hope you can help, this 30min. job I screwed with for three hours!

Sorry to hear. If you have the same setup NMD did it should look like this.

Red Direct to battery with 30 amp fuse in line
Orange Attach to fan positive lead
Blue When using dual fans attach to 2nd fan
Yellow Attach to ignition switched 12 volt source(ignition fuse)
Green Attach to positive wire on A/C
Black ground

ok, blown after comparing notes, I think I have a bad controller. I have everything hooked up as specified. Yours matches Newmexico. Ought to be fun trying to take this back since I already stripped wires...

Question Its Alive!!! (E-Fan)

Apparently I was sold a bad controller. Quick question as far as data logging, is the engine coolant temp what justifies when the fan comes on? If so, what temp should I have the fan coming on at? Right now I have it kicking on at 180 deg. Blown, when do you have yours set? You said it was at about 1/4? mine is staying about 1/4 to a little higher. It is fairly cool tonight.
