Default Ripped off????

Sooooo.. I goto sears to get an estimate on an alignment.. They have my truck for 3 hours.. I go back the proceded to tell me that both my tie rod ends need replaced and my sway bar links need replaced and it'd be ???$... I go home.. put the truck on the lift and check it out myself.. tie rods are solid.. I can twist them but no movement back and forth and no steering issues.. just wearing in inside of BOTH my front tires... sooooo.. I did replace my end links.. took it back different guy and he proceded to tell my my end links needed replaced...

I take it to a good ol' boy shop they said its the struts being worn causing the inside of the tires to wear... he showed me where one of them has been leaking...

I ordered all new ranchos for front and rear tonight and a 2" leveling kit from daystar... $402 shipped for all...

good deal? am I in the right direction?

And what about blocks for the rear??? Will the 2" lift make it nose up or be even?

Thanks,

Chad

Thanks for the replies.. I pulled the struts this morning and they are DONE.. very very very little rebound.. sounds like the good ol' boy shop was right. I'll post some pics of the Raider through the process and finished...

How does everyone like the ranchos?? Ride well?? I drive about 30 miles on back roads then about 50 on interstate to get to work.

In my experience most of the shops attached to chain stores are shady, I avoid them like the plague.

I got the daystar 2 inch leveling kit and it's awesome. It will level the front with the back. ON A SIDE NOTE, lately i have notice that my front is a tiny bit lower than my rear (just measured, i got 1 inch difference between front and back). Do you think that the loss of height would be due to worn out struts? I think is time to get the ranchos mod done.. I still got the factory struts on. SORRY, DID NOT MEANT TO STEAL THE THREAD!!!

Dealing with Sears, HA, they are owned by Kmart, really lost the quality and service they used to have

I have had the Rancho struts for about 15000 miles and love them. I go out to the desert a lot and they really took out the excessive rebound that the stock struts are known for. I bought the rear shocks but sent them back because they were not gas filled. Handling was terrible. I have not looked into the Rancho rear shocks recently to see if they are gas filled now.
