Default New tires for my Dakota

I'm looking for a new set of tires for my 05' Dakota Club Cab 4x4. I had the stock wrangler GS-A's and I want a set that's got a more aggressive tread without going to a mudder
tread. I do more highway driving then offroad, but I live in northern Iowa and deal with snow. I ordered a set of Cooper Discoverer ATR in the stock 245-70R16 size. Does anybody
have them and how well do you like them. Any other suggestions for tires? Thanks.

Goodyear Authority A/T's. 265/75/16. Amazing tires in the winter, dirt, mud, asphalt.

I'm in SW IA and went with Firestone Destination A/T's last winter....performance was awesome.

I would recommend anything above listed as well...BFG's and Bridgestone Revo's I've seen high reviews on tirerack.com for, along with the Firestone A/T's

Some of this depends on your location. Different areas get different kinds of snow. What works great in some, work like caca in others.

So, where are you? What kinds of snow do you usually get?

Considering the "great state of I-O-W-A" had many record snow storms last winter....many storms ravaging the state with anywhere from 8 in-18 in of snow....and they are saying this winter is gonna be worse....he's definately gonna need some good grip!

Another vote for BFG A/Ts here. I went up to the 265/70/16s from the 245/70/16 and it was a huge improvement on the looks side and the truck also rides smoother down the road. I lost some handleing around corners and curves though.

whatevers on sale that looks good....sorry, I have a hard time sinking 700-800 in a set of name brand tires when I can get cheaper off brands that will last just as long (in my experience)....
