lift blocks

good question, i've searched all over and all I can find are add-a-leafs, or air bags. There was a thread earlier this year on the subject.

I used the 1" blocks from Jegs. Worked fine. Depending on your axle size, you can get by with off the shelf u-bolts or you will have to have them custom made. The 8-1/4" rear will work with the kits you can get from Jegs or Autozone. The 9-1/4" rear will need custom bolts to match the height of block you get. I got my u-bolts from Stengal Bros in PA....

Here is some pictures of the pieces and my truck. I used 9/16" x 3-1/2" x 8-3/8" round bend u-bolts. The originals are 7-3/8" tall, so add on how tall your block is.

Yup, I had used an advanced auto kit when I had 2" blocks, because I wanted the painted steel blocks. Autozone has blocks too, in billet aluminum. The U-bolts that come with the kit aren't the greatest though.
Much better off doing what jonhankel did, and getting them made by stengal bros. Those u-bolts are much higher quality and come with deep nuts.
You can run a 2" max. So pick 1" or 2". Anything more then 2" will be too far for your axle breather line, and your main brake line. No need to get new shocks either.
