Default GMB Water Pump

While I was on vacation I received several request for information on my GMB water pump. It is a direct OEM replacement so it bolts right up just like the old one comes off.

Ok I am not trying to say that this product is not great or anything. I want to try and get the facts correct so I order the correct one.

The water pump
GMB1204350 is just a standard OE replacement
Which is actually this link
http://www.gmb.net/html/products/waterpumps/OE.htm

They do not list a water pump in the "High Performance" section for our truck
Which the part # "WOULD BE" GMB1204350P - see the added "P"

I have found it cheaper at Advanced Auto

thx, Blown! I didn't ask you, but I appreciate the link! I haven't been able to find a shop that thinks there's anything wrong with my truck's cooling system. I know that it is not running as good as it should! Looks like I will actually have to do this thing myself :-S

edit: ^ nice find!

No worries, if you find it cheaper thats even better. GMB advertises a 15-20 percent increase in flow and for me that was worth buying it. My truck runs super cool. Maye a combination of the HHR Fan, SPAL, 180 T stat and GMB water pump but I'm not going to argue with the performance I've gotten out of it.

I will probably do what I did last winter. Put in my stock thermostat and set my fan low to 195 degrees. I don't have to, it would just take a really long time for the heater to warm the cab with the 180 and low fan temp activation.
