No doubt. You can have a X or H pipe configuration and have true duals but not Y pipe.

If you do that you will need to get your 2nd set of O2 sensors turned off or you could have trouble. I know someone who did that with a 4.7L and at park and idle the RPMs were at 1500. If you are tuning with SCT all you have to do is shut them off and your good to go.

Most exhaust shops wont tamper with cats since its a federal offense. If you find a shop that does, consider yourself lucky and I wouldnt go around bragging where you got them gutted. Lol.

Fastman has a module on his site that is for removal of the cats, and it fools the computer in to thinking the rear O2 sensors are reading correctly. Im not sure if it would work on our 05 4.7s though.

the shop i have gotten my exhaust done on all my trucks does cash sales only, they do whatever ya want. i was actually gonna gut the cats when i first got it done but i wanted to wait and see if i was gonna have to smog test out here in cali. blown i know your running kinda the same exhaust set up as me, besides the muffs. do u think there would be any advantage to throwing on a crossover pipe?

I've debated it, even thought about doing the "X" type muffler. My Borla is super rusted from last winter and I've thrown around the idea of trying this bad boy.
