2006 PCV valve location
All literature I reference shows the PCV valve being on the oil filler tube but my '06 4x4 SLT does not have it there and I'm having a hard time locating it. Does anyone know exactly where it's located? Thanks.
V6 or V8? I think a lot of us are having a hard time finding it...

I'm trying to track down ocassional rough idle and ocassional abrupt stall. I'm really getting bummed out about this. I did replace the IAC idle motor in the throttle body.
I'm afraid the dealership won't be able to successfully diagnose on the scanner. There isn't a MIL/Check Engine light that stays on when any of this happens.

Have you looked in to the Throttle Position Sensor and Manifold Air Pressure sensor? Both could cause your problem. The MAP will normally cause a CEL, not so much with the TPS though.

Ok I did some more research on the mystery PCV. In late 2006 Dodge changed the location of the PCV on the 4.7 from the filler neck to the back of the drivers side valve head.
If you look at the emissions diagram on the hood of your Dakota it will show you the location. It is the blue item at the top of the picture. (see picture)

Who knows, but my bet is the government had something to do with it.
