Call a couple of shops and see what charge for a cam swap on a 4.7L. A lot more than $300.00 I promise. In VA we couldn't find a shop that would do it for less than $1,200.00 or so.

i'm not arguing with the price....lol trust me i know it would be...and hendrixx, i'm driving to fort hood from VA so its roughly aroun about almost not outa my way!

You could charge more than $300 then and it would still be worth the drive and price!

I think 300$ is good as long as I get an assist. A couple of months back I did a cam swap on a 4.6L Mustang and made the owner the same deal. He was more than happy to stay and help, lol.

just found an epic deal on ho cams. ones from a jeep will be just as good as ones from airram.com????

Yep, a set of Jeep 4.7L H.O. cams are just as good as any other.

well i just bought them. i cant friggen belive i was so lucky to find them. 130 bucks! only reason i was searching for them was this thread. and boom there they are. thanks again blown for the info, you rock. I will let you know once i get the 300 bucks for the install. no rush on them either. i know your busy but just a heads up sometime in the near future we will meet.

Congrats man, and no worries. Things will slow down at work until after the holidays. You will have to catch me before April though, that is when I leave for Officer Transition School in Newport RI.
