You use the stock gaskets and sensors.

Dan said that the truck just has to learn the idle; the throttle body is supposed to have that gap. The problem is not in the throttle body.

I'm sorry but I going to have to disagree with Dan on this one. The pics show the blade is hitting on one side of the bore but not the other side which means the blades is not centered inside the bore thus the reason the linkage is not resting on the adjusting set screw. This is keeping the blade open allowing too much air flow at idle.

This situation is srictly between you and Dan but I honestly believe he needs to step up to the plate on this one.

He told me if the blade hits the bore, it will bind up and cause it not to close. He said the IAC should be able to compensate for that air, and to try propping the blade open just a hair and see if that helps.

Propping the blade open is only going to make the high idle problem worse by letting in more air.

If the bore size and the blade size are correct, the blade should be just a wisker away from touching the bore on either side when adjusted properly. With that in mind, I'm 99% sure I could correct the problem in less than 15 minutes if I had the TB. Or, you could follow my previous instructions on how to center the blade inside the bore and correct it yourself. Seems like Dan has no intentions of replacing the TB anyway so what do you have to lose.

Ill talk to Kent before he ships the TB back. Ill be happy to pay you to fix it BwDakrt. I cant believe Dan keeps telling me that this is a known problem but he doesnt know how to fix it. He says the problem is the PCM and some guys have the problem of trying to get it to learn while others install and never have a problem. Maybe hes making this mistake on more than my TB. Snipingdude had a fastman and I talked to him about his idle issue and he never solved it. He had the same random idle.
