If I was going to level I would def go with the drop shackles... I just tow a lot and haul alot and when loaded it sits perfect, plus the rake isn't so bad

I love the drop shackles as they make the truck set level. Plus you an buy them pretty cheap on ebay.

Plus they're very easy to install.
Just make sure you have ALL the weight off the leaf springs before pulling the bolts out.... (Ask JKeaton about that one)

i DID have all the weight off, or so I thought....and only just on one side....so it was kinda in a bind...and made a really, really loud noise when i finally knocked that bolt out.......and then i had to change my shorts.....i learn most things the hard way.....

I don't know why there is such a hate on for lowering 4WD or lifting 2WD trucks.

People seem to have this misconception that 4WD is only for off-roading. When it's quite usefull on pavement, when the roads are slick, I wish I had 4WD the other day trying to get into the parking garage on my way to school.

Also some of the fastest off-road trucks are 2WD, and LOVE the look of lifted 2WD trucks. The long control arms, that give lots of suspension travel, and keep proper geometry just look great to me.

I think im gonna take some **** from the 4x4 guys on here for this one.
Mine's 4x4 and I have the drop shackles sitting in the closet right now waiting to go on. I realized that living in Jersey now I'll never be going offroad and not only do I like the look the lowering shackles make a lot of sense for a street truck. Trying to find a shop that won't kill me for the install and changing out all the shocks at the same time. I would say just take the 4x4 decals off (personally I think it looks cleaner without them anyway but that's a matter of taste).
