LOL, that is a big part of it. I really want to get inside one of these new 4.7L and do some math on the cam shafts and see if any of the regrinds will work or not. Maybe once the new pay kicks in I convince the wife I need an 08+ 4.7L for my research.

Blown, you've given me no choice.....do option 1......AND option 2. You don't really have to spend any more $ putting the old gears back in, you already purchased the auburn, and we are all waiting to see what will happen with a new 4.7L. However! I have a valuable solution to your old 4.7L issue. Since I happen to have the low hp 3.7L, I will take your old 4.7L, and you install the new 4.7L in your dak. See? Problem solved.

i say option two! see how much power can be made from that and you'd be setting the way for the new 4.7L motor just like you led the way with the old 4.7! do option 2

You should keep the old 4.7 go full forge and aluminum intake manifold plus 3.55's intercooler and aburn asd.

I say option 1 cause that will allow you to do the things you already have in the works, it will also give you more time to save money/ move, then you can do option 2. But id almost say screw option 2 and go with the Hemi, but then we will never know what the differences actually are between 4.7's and what the new one can do.

I've got to do option 1. I'm going to try and do option two as well after the new paycheck kicks in. I want to take the newer 4.7L, bore it .030 over with forged pistons and port and polish the heads, stronger valve springs and get a custom cam grind similar to the one Travis (Trucky) got. It's rated for 310 horse power I bet I could get 375 or so out of it. Then I will bolt up my supercharger.

I say you just supercharge the Borrego! That thing would be sick with boost!
