NO WAY YES, I have looked for this since I got my dakota. I am going to get one, and take it to my bud up in St. Louis, He said that he would make me one out of stainless, and some how powder coat it to match the original texture and color.

Ordered now. BA

Just happened to me this morning - late for a dental appt. leaving work, pulled the handle, "snap"!.

I was thinking JB weld too. All the parts are there, shouldn't take too long to cure, I'll try tomorrow.

Fixed:

If you work on your pick-em-up truck in the middle of the night, in your pajamas . . . you might be a redneck!

Pulled the lower dash section off last night (14 in the instructions - I don't think the instructions show that the left-side dash cover has to come off to remove two screws), pulled the handle off and put the lower dash back on.

Mixed up some J-B Quick and spread it thinly on the joint surfaces and then filleted everywhere it didn't interfere with the pin hole. Harder than new this morning so I snapped it back on this morning - works perfectly, we'll see for how long.

Cleaned it up, scoured the plastic with a course sanding sponge, and put a thin layer of JB Weld Kwik on. It has been several days since and seems to be working.

Remember to roughen up the plastic so the epoxy has something to bond to.
