Default Here we go again.

Hey guys, well here we go again, after a 900 dollar bill on a rental couple months ago, warped heads and head gaskets blown, here we are again with another head gasket. went down to pick up hand gun permits and wat do i notice when im in the driveway letting it idle a small missfire. yes i heard it and when i open the door gave it sum gas i smelled coolant. turned her off open up the oil cap removed the little plastic twisty and i see the yellow goo of coolant. this is pissing me off. not sure yet what is gonna happen. but dealership is deff gonna get a headache of me yellin in their ears. so was wondering wat you guys think could have cause this one. i havent been flooring her, been driving her requarly every day, let her warm up abit before i drive her, ect. so shes not making me happy at all.

I think you got a huge lemon. I dont understand how youve had all these problems. There are pleanty of guys that run these engines hard with no head gasket failure .... and now yours has one again. Did your engine ever overheat that you know of?

My guess would be the dealership re-used the original head bolts. IIRC, there supposed to be a one time use/torque item.

Reusing the same head bolts is probably what they did. The other thing is the heads might be warped and they used an old school trick of over torquing them to get a good seal. Either one usually ends in disaster.

Sorry to hear Moneyman. I would try to convince the dealership that you need a new block.

mhm its been maybe 5 thousand miles? if that yea im not happy. me and my dad got into it because they said my warranty went because i put a K/N on which is BS. but yes she did overheat because they could not look at it. they ened up re cutting the heads and put on better gaskets as they said. umm well we will see it might be a lemon ebcause ive had other problems before. so.. idk if so im gonna miss the truck but if so.. iteams will be fore sale mosy likely my led stripes and tail lights. and receiver unless i get a truck that needs one lol. but i dought that would happen but who knows. a 6.7 cummins would sure be nice hahah
