Lol finally some one noticed the update to the garage.

Yeah, there are some big things in the works...like I told Regnath, google megasquirt if you want a taste of what it to come.

Just a little too cold to start things yet.

Yeah, It is nice to be able to run a EFI engine on a stand.

I have most of the parts Just need some free time, and some warm days to get some things done.

I fell in love with the megasquirt systems when I made my first one back in high school for my ATV. It was a Kawasaki Mohave with the Frame extension mod and a EX500 Ninja engine.

I have one built, just sitting around, I just need a few more parts to get it to work with the new setup.

I can say this. I am tickled that I will be getting rid of the Drive by wire Crap, SO MUCH LAG.

uhh picked out the transfer case today, just looking at the rated specs, divided by raitos to the engine, had me drooling.

IIRC, the rated torque output of the Tcase is 7100ft/lbs. Divide 7100 by 3.09 (1'st gear on a Torqueshift) and your engine could output roughly 2300 ft/lb of torque in hi range before reaching the output limit of the T/C. Just as an example of it's strength.

In this case, as I am thinking of going g56 6 speed. (if it has the shifter config I like) so take 7100/6.3 (low ratio of cummins geared g56) 1126ft/lb (worst case scenario) :O That would be more than enough to handle a blown 440 with some pretty extreme mods.

Since I figure on pushing a number in the 600-650 ft/lb range NA, and dont plan to go blown, that will give me plenty of head room, if I bind a tire on the trail, or get a little wild even with slicks. I SHOULD break a u joint before the transfer case.

The g56 had been doing well in sled pulls on some mighty over done trucks, so if it can stand up to that, it can surely stand up to my poor traction tires that aren't going to put near that much strain on it.

Does anyone know where the g56 6 speed trans shifter defaults to, IE if you let go of it where do the springs return the shifter to. Is it inline with 3-4, or does it do that crap where it sits between like 1-2 and 3-4 If so, is there a stop before getting inline with reverse on these transmissions like there is on the dakota 6 speed. You have to push past the stop to get inline with reverse.

Drop a dual plate clutch in there, and I will be rockin.

Next I gotta figure the gauge status...

Currently it is a 6.lL hemi block based 440 cubic inch.

So a 440 Gen III Hemi

I am kinda hoping to sell it if they made the 392 block crank and rod journals bigger than the 6.1 block.

If so, then it will be based on a 6.4l block.

Come to find out, They offer two different sets of pistons for the 440's, and when I contacted them about this, and the fact that they did not tell me this when I originally ordered the roatating assembly, AND ASKED they are going to send me another kit, so that it will be an 11.1:1 compression, plus they are paying the shipping back to them on the 9.3:1 kit.

BA

Man I like these guys, they are willing to work with anyone, and any thing kudos to them.
