I thought our trucks required Zerex, normally found at Napa?

Funny you should ask... It does not have a drain. I just did my coolant flush today and was trying to find the damn drain also. Pretty much all the overflow does is hold fluid. It does not recirculate back into the truck. What I did to clean out the old fluid was unhook the tube near the neck to the radiator fill cap. Then took compressed air and a rag and placed it in the overflow fill cap and presto the laws of displacement forced all the fluid from the overflow out the tube.

If you look at how the overflow and windshield bottles come together there is a vein between them. Excess poors into the top of the overflow from the radiator. When radiator fluid becomes low vacuum pressure from the cooling system pulls it back in. Drain your radiator, fill your overflow bottle and start your truck. Your overflow will be empty in no time, so yes it does recurculate back into the system .

WTEBOY, if your's doesn't have a drain you can either pump it out, or disconnect the bottle and just turn it upside down. Either way isn't hard, every time I installed a blower or bracets into a G3 I have to remove and modify the overflow bottle. LMAO, sometimes I forget what is stock vs what I've modified.

LMAO, it's all good brother. I really never paid attention to it until I blew my headgasket. I was filling that overflow bottle daily, lol.

WTEBOY, good luck man.
