Glad you asked. Put the truck's frame on jack stands, towards the rear. Then, snug up a jack under the middle of the axle. Now you can unbolt the shocks at the axle, knock out the bolts and let the shocks extend and just hang there.

Next, take the wheels off the truck, and remove the u-bolts. Since the axle is supported by the jack, and held in general alignment by the sway bar, it shouldn't move or shift. Now, slowly lower the jack until you gain enough space to slip in the blocks.

When you start lining the blocks up with the jack, and by bolting up the new u-bolts and taking up the slack, make sure you get them both close, and then lock in the DRIVER'S SIDE block to perch FIRST. For some reason, that ebrake cable makes it tough to align the pin on the block to the pirch if you do the passenger side first.

So again, get the axle up close, get the blocks pretty close to there perch, then take the slack up on the u-bolts on the DRIVER'S side first. The passenger side will be cake to align.

Finally, bolt up the shocks and your done. Since the axle will be hanging, simply use the jack to align the mounting spots with the shocks, this way you dont have to fight the shock to bolt it back in.

It's easy.

It looks like your using the Advanced Auto Part block kit? The blocks are good and strong on that kit, the U-bolts aren't amazing, but will do the job. If you want OEM quality u-bolts, look into Stengal Bros. But, I have run the u-bolts in your picture and they were good enough.

Also, take note of your breather line for the axle, its a little line that runs from the pumpkin up above the rear driver side tire, and is clipped to a little plate welded onto the frame. You may need to unclip it, and lower it down a tiny bit, and clip it back on. I think the slack just makes it at full extension. It's no huge deal, and takes 2 seconds.

Looks good. Maybe some all terrain tires, but I don't think I would put bigger tires on. The bigger the tires the lower the truck looks again. It's nice to have all that wheel well space. It looks higher then most kits I see with the 2" lift all around. It's probablly because your still running the factory size tire.

Welcome to the forum. If you search for "leveling kit" on here or the internet for your specific year of truck, you will find kits that will raise the front. These are in the form of coil spring spacers, thats the best we can get "off the shelf" for a front lift for our trucks. If you have a 4x4 best not to go over 2.5" as you will start putting the CV's in a bind at full droop.
