time for me to try different plugs
The bottom is IAC. The TPS will have 2 screws, the IAC will have 1.
The IAC will need to be twisted most likely to get it to come out. The o rings create a tight seal so its hard to pull it off.

my truck just has a rough idle with an occasional choke like its going to die. when it chokes it drops to like 400 rpm and 700 rpm and the truck shakes like a ****, i just rev the crap out of it and it goes away cause i dont want it to die. the normal rough idle is just an in consistent shake and its really annoying, the rpms stay at 700-750 or so normal and they dont jump around at all..but the shaking is always there
edit: it doesnt/hasnt thrown any codes yet so i dunno wtf to do, i know there is something wrong cause my truck shouldnt be occasionally choking out like its going to die (happens like 1-2 times a month, happened more frequently than that until i reset the pcm by leaving negative off overnight) i took it to the dodge dealer to have them fix a few things and to have them seriously look at my truck why its idling like that, they hooked it up to some machine they had and drove it around and are not seeing any misfires and its not throwing codes so they dont know what the problem could be, the only thing they said was that the gap on some of the plugs is a tiny bit off on some of them.

I am the tech manager at Autolite spark plugs. I can tell you that the XP3923 spark plug is the best for your truck, I can also tell you that it wont cure your problem idle. You should find a shop that has what is caled a smoke machine. This machine is usually used to find evap system leaks, many good drivability techs also use it to find difficult vacuum leaks and that is what I think is your issue. It can also find a leaking IAC (idle air control valve). These valves cotrol the idle speed, they do get sticky with age and will not set a code. Good luck and if I can send you any diagnostic or service info, just shoot me an email at jay.buckley@honeywell.com
They sell a sensor safe Throttle Body Cleaner spray at your local auto parts chain store. I've had good luck with it. Hasen't it been documented that a bad Throttle Position Sensor is the cause of that really rough idle?? They all shake a little, but dropping to 400 rpms is a problem.
It is odd that they would send you NGK's when you ordered Autolites. I do not know if the NGK's you got will fit
As far as throttle body cleaner I would just go to your local mopar dealer and get the mopar combustion chamber cleaner. It will clean the tb and intake at the same time and is the exact cleaner the delaer uses. I picked up a can at my local dealer for $6. I just swapped in the autolite 3923. My truck was very smooth at idle before but now you can't even tell it is running unless you look at the rpm gauge. Guess I will need to remedy that by an exhaust mod!
im trying to take off the throttle control cables right now and i dont see how you can disconnect it? also the vacuum hose feels weak and i dont want to pull on it too hard lol
